Accessibility Support

I offer priority for BIPOGM and LGBTQIA2S+ families and also utilize the Green Bottle Model (Sliding Scale).

Green Bottle Model

The Green Bottle Method was first introduced by Alexis J. Cunningfolk. Cunningfolk explains it further “The sliding scale is a tool that allows for a product or service to be obtained at multiple price points based on the circumstances of the purchaser… It represents the idea that financial resources, including income, are not and should not be the only determining factor in whether or not someone can access services/care/etc”. This approach enables families who might otherwise face exclusion due to cost or be able to access care.

Registered with the DFAFGP (Doulas for Aboriginal Families Grant Program)

The Doulas for Aboriginal Families Grant Program (DAFGP) is offered by the BC Association of Aboriginal Friendship Centres, Provincial Health Services Authority and the BC Ministry of Health. The goal of the program is to increase healthy birth outcomes for Indigenous families by removing the cost barrier to accessing doula services.

The grant program provides Indigenous families living in BC up to $1,200.00 (maximum) of coverage for full-spectrum doula support with each pregnancy.
